The team at Seagrass Wellbeing Centre at the Inishowen Gateway Hotel would sincerely like to thank the wonderful ladies who shared very personal information and details about their cancer journey during recent training in Cancer Care Touch Therapy. Seagrass therapists are proud to have just completed an internationally certified training programme to offer therapies to clients living with cancer or who have a history of cancer.
The training carried out by the renowned Christine Clinton, founder, and CEO of Christine Clinton Cancer Care, ensures therapists have a greater understanding of and compassion for clients living with and beyond cancer, their emotional and mental wellbeing as well as their skincare needs.
Spa treatments are modified to address the individual needs of each client so a safe and effective treatment can be enjoyed wherever the client is at on their cancer journey. Treatments include lymphatic drainage support and massage and specialised scar tissue release.

‘It is timely that we have completed this course just before World Cancer Day, February 4th 2023. It has been a very emotional but uplifting week of training. Emotional because of the personal stories we heard of huge emotional trauma from not only the diagnoses, treatment, and side effects but also of the shocking reality of cancer during covid. It was uplifting to see and experience the amazing resilience of the human spirit despite very tough circumstances. The women were amazing and contributed so much to our training experience. We were deeply humbled and will carry this learning deep within. Thank you.’
